ASHTON DRAKE GENE MARSHALL "SECRET SLEUTH" OUTFIT with COA and STORYCARD
Up for sale is the SECRET SLEUTH OUTFIT for the 15 1/2" Ashton Drake Gene Marshall dolls.
This is a lovely outfit, long ago retired.
Secret Sleuth is a simple, long sleeved black crepe sheath topped by a short black and white plaid woven wool cape, lined in the same material.
Circa 1948.
The dress features patch pockets in the same fabric as Gene's cape.
A yellow scarf tied at the neck and yellow wrist length gloves bring a splash of color to the ensemble.
The scarf has some odd markings on it....what appears as a dark mark from the darker dress, and some odd whitish marks.
Marks are slight and don't take away from it while on, but they are still there.
Gene sports a black and white check beret and carries a black box purse with gold closure.
The costume for SECRET SLEUTH was based on an authentic design provided courtesy of Valentino's in Hollywood, California and interpreted by Tim Kennedy.
Sale is for the outfit only. Other items shown can be found in separate auctions or in our store.
Has been gently displayed behind glass in a smoke-free home away from light and dust. It is from my private collection.
Buyer agrees to pay for auction within 3 days of the auction end.
This is part of a major liquidation of a life long doll collection. My initial goal was to open a doll museum. Dress is shipped in a padded envelope via USPS first class mail.
USPS Priority mail is also an option if you prefer.
We do offer multiple item shipping discounts.
