Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Late 1950's - Yellow AB Color - Round and Marquise Shaped Crystals - Graduated Marquise Fringe Motif Full Surround Cluster Necklace and Pendant Earring Set.
VERY RARE DESIGN! - MINT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE!
This handsome and very impressive set dates from the late 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman" designed as a line of small round crystals with a
full surround of
graduated marquise shaped crystals for a fringe motif. The set is done in a series of dazzling and intense lilac and teal flashed yellow AB color round and marquise shaped crystals set in a gold plated setting. The necklace measures 14" in length with a 2" extension chain for a total length of 16". The necklace comes with a pair of 2.25" tapered marquise crystal cluster earrings that are an exact match to the central details in the necklace.
The set is in mint condition showing very minimal use, all the original stones, none missing or replaced with no loss to the finish or plating on the back of the necklace or earrings.
The necklace is marked
on the back, Sherman on a small gold square - the earrings are not marked but are an exact and obvious match to the central details in the necklace.
SHERMAN
Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated. "Jewels of Elegance" by Sherman was written on some carded Sherman jewelry. Sherman produced jewelry from 1947-1981.
